Hi, my name is Sonya C. I want to help people of all ages who struggle to read and write. I am passionate about helping kids (and others) who have dyslexia. I am a special education teacher in an elementary school now. I use a program called Barton Reading and Spelling that works!

If your child is frustrated at school or you feel there has to be something better for your child, try Barton reading and spelling. I make the tutoring sessions fun (we play games), multi sensory and your child will feel successful. Tutoring sessions need to be at least twice a week for it to be effective and for faster results.

I am a certified special education teacher in an elementary school. I teach students with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. I have been teaching for 10 years in various public schools. I teach reading, phonics, spelling, writing and math.

I am a certified teacher, and use Barton Reading and Spelling for phonics, spelling, reading and writing.

Special Needs

I have taught kids with special needs for 10 years. I have tutored kids K-8th grade privately in the past. I try to make tutoring sessions fun, hands-on and successful. We play games, read and write. I use colored tiles to make words that the student reads. We use the tiles to learn various English language rules that help them read and spell. We work on high frequency words and writing longer paragraphs.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
