I have worked with struggling readers, and children with learning disabilities, for eleven years. I have a great passion to help struggling student achieve. I have had much success building relationships with students and helping them to achieve. My students enjoy their time with me and as a result they want to continue to learn and grow.
When I began working as a reading and writing tutor I was given no curriculum to follow. I built up a personal system, and later was officially trained to teach the Wilson Reading System, and the Language! Program. I have also worked with severe needs students and taught the Edmark program. I now have a teaching license and I and eager to continue to work with student and help them become better readers, thus achieving a greater overall scholastic success.
