My name is Leyla, and I am so glad you're thinking of learning English! Whatever your goals in learning English, I am happy to help you reach and surpass them.
I have completed a TEFL certification course to complement the years of practice I've had helping individuals learn English. I have volunteered as a conversation partner and as an English teacher. I also worked as a preschool teacher for several years, so I am well-acquainted with creatively engaging young people in learning. English is my first language, and I am an American. I am excited to help students of all ages and walks of life learn one of the most widely-spoken languages in the modern world.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 2005, and I earned my Masters of Science degree in Development Studies from the University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland in 2006. I have traveled in Europe and in North America, and I particularly enjoy visiting Eastern Europe whenever I get the chance.
I look forward to learning more about you and your life as we work together to explore the English language!
