Hello! My name is Matthew. I am a native Memphian new to the Longmont area, and I am really enjoying my new home. I have years of education, tutoring, and training experience. I have been married to my wife, Stacy, for 12 years and we are both from Memphis, TN. We have two dogs named: Christmas and Boscoe. I attended the University Of Memphis and received my Bachelor Of Arts Degree in History and one in Communications. I am licensed in the State of Mississippi to teach secondary social studies, English, and communications and in Tennessee world history and English. I received an award of excellence for my Social Studies Praxis II score, as I scored in the top 15 percent of all test takers of all time. I have a Master's degree in Teaching from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. I am now attending Front Range Community College for supplemental classes as well as pursuing my PhD at Capella University in Psychology. I taught 9th Grade World History at the first charter school in Tennessee, Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering. I also have taught reading classes at the Memphis Literacy Council. My teaching style depends on my audience. You, as the student will give me your initial thoughts on your learning style, so that I may incorporate it into your lessons. I am very patient, and will design your lessons based on your learning needs; just know that I have tutored and taught students from age 5 to age 85. It is never too early or too late to admit that you just might need a little help sometimes.
