I have other thirty-five years of teaching/tutoring experience beginning in 1977 as the manager/tutor of the Stanford Tutoring Service in Palo Alto, California. There are few things more gratifying to me than when I can help a student "get it". Most recently, I have focused on assisting my own children (I have 5)achieve their academic goals: matriculating at Creighton, Stanford, Johns Hopkins and Syracuse University. Two have been accepted into doctoral programs which they are planning to start in the fall of 2013.

I am passionate about learning and about sharing that passion with students.

Study Skills

As a mother of five and an instructor to at least 50 children over my life time, I have guided students in developing study skills for many years. I have seen this as a very natural outgrowth of the academic support I have provided. Study skills are somewhat subject specific and I would plan to present guidelines based on the particular academic area.

Bible Studies

I have taught Sunday School for more than 30 years. Having read through the bible several times, I have written religious literature which has been used as a curriculum both in the U.S. and internationally. I am a spirit-filled Christian and I pray and seek God daily for an understanding of his Word.

Public Speaking

I have facilitated seminars and classes for more than 30 years. I was a part of the Learning and Development program at Aurora Loan Services where I taught in front of large groups as a result of my work with the Implementation Team. At my church, I regularly address large groups.
