It's all about the WHY. Why are we getting together to improve your performance? What are your goals? How can I help you get where you want to be? For me, finding the answer to this question is the most important aspect of my tutoring and teaching. If you know why you're putting in the work, I can get you on board with my training method and help get you where you want to be. I'm all about helping you set goals- and exceeding them! We'll likely even have some fun shattering your expectations along the way! I enjoy working with parents to help their sons and daughters achieve at a higher level. I encourage my students to challenge themselves and learn from their mistakes, but also to celebrate and build upon their successes. Just like any good coach, I take my students' missteps as my own and give them the credit for their victories. I've been through a challenging academic curriculum, and it wouldn't have been possible for me to have had the success I did without commitment, persistence, and a strong work ethic. I'm particularly skilled at relating life experiences to these all-important qualities.
While serving as a teacher and tutor for the Princeton Review test prep services, I continually generated referrals and repeat business. While serving as a graduate teaching assistant, I helped numerous students aspiring to gain admission into medical schools learn valuable lab techniques and science methods that have proven valuable in their medical education. Having been in medical and graduate school environments, worked in research and sales environments, and pursued independent business ventures, I have a great appreciation for the value of and the broad applicability of a good science education. My ability to communicate this to students has improved the overall quality and value they receive from working with me. I can't wait to meet you and help you reach (and exceed) your goals!
