Hola, Hola! My name is Hunter. Nice to meet you! So, what do you want to know about me? Well, I'm a teacher by nature and educating people is a deep-rooted passion of mine. I've taught for 7 years in 3 different private schools back east before I moved out here and totally changed things up. I love the outdoors, like hiking, camping, biking, snow shoeing, etc. It's a blast to take the dogs on a long hike and then take them swimming! Traveling is also one of my favorite activities. I was fortunate enough to live in Spain while I got my Master's, and led two summer immersion programs in Costa Rica and Panama. The beauty of speaking a foreign language is it opens doors for a person to fully be able to experience and engross themselves in another culture and learn about their way of life. And if I can help someone speak a little more Spanish and open that door a little wider, I'm stoked to do so! What do I do in my free time? Besides going to the mountains, I cook, wood work, exercise, read, play golf, among other activities. What else...? Oh yeah, my approach to tutoring/teaching. I'm quite talented at reading my students and quickly adapting to their learning styles. Then I tailor each lesson to that style and create activities that will practice the material so they internalize it . Also, I'm super fun! Learning a language is so interactive and social, and I'm all about having the students move, talk and relate to the subject matter. After all, they're called ACTIVities for a reason! We can go on for a while, but let's do that in person. Gracias for giving me the opportunity, and I look forward to seeing you learn and share in the beauty that is the Spanish language and cultures!
