I am a retired Foreign Service Officer who has lived in Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia. I have worked on conserving tropical ecosystems of global importance such as the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, Maya Bioshphere Reserve in Guatemala, Coral Reefs in Haiti, and Serengetti National Park in Tanzania. I am fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
I have my Master's in Forest Resources and a Certificate of Tropical agriculture from the University of Florida. My undergraduate degree is in Zoology with a Chemistry minor. I am qualified to teach biology, zoology, wildlife, ecology, science, environment, and agriculture.
I have counseled and advised high school students, college students, and Peace Corps volunteers on career development.
I am married and have two beautiful daughters. My eldest is studying Biology (Pre-med)at Colorado College and my youngest is a senior at Academia Cotopaxi in Quito, Ecuador.
