I have over nine years experience teaching and tutoring students with a wide range of reading and writing abilities! I moved out to Colorado a year and a half ago from New York State. I hold a BS in Communications/Journalism and an MA in English from the State University of New York (SUNY) Fredonia and a Ph.D in English, General Literature and Rhetoric from the State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton. I have taught college writing for nine years at a range of colleges and have been a professional tutor for over seven years. I love working with students on an individual level, which is why I am seeking out students who really could use some extra help outside of an academic setting!
I work with students on an individual basis and craft my tutoring and instruction according to their unique abilities and skill levels. Having worked with a range of students from those who require more remedial attention to second-language learners to adult/continuing education and more advanced writing/comprehension levels, I have a great deal of experience helping students becoming more competent readers and writers.
