I am a 32 year-old woman who has been passionate about learning my whole life and my favorite thing is seeing others getting excited about something they are learning. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from CSU in Fort Collins, CO. I also have a strong medical background because I completed 3 years of medical school at the University of TN in Memphis and have also attended the Second Degree BSN Nursing Program at UNC in Greeley. I have been tutoring informally since I was 6 yrs old, but tutored Chemistry and Nursing classes through the CSU and UNC tutoring centers, respectively, for 3 years. I also am teaching Accelerated Algebra II to 9th and 10th graders in summer school at Northridge High in Greeley.
I believe that any child does have the capacity to learn if presented in a way that connects with their personality and learning style. And so, as I strive to help others not just learn but enjoy the process of learning, I try to present material in a way that connects with them personally. I also believe that all of us are capable of more than we realize, so my goal is to build the self-confidence of my tutees by equipping them with the tools they need to see that they are able to succeed and accomplish their goals. Above all, I believe learning should be fun and I try to bring in activities that enhance the learning experience.
