Vocabulary

The knowledge of not only a set vocabulary, but also the meanings of roots, prefixes and suffixes, is crucial to understanding, building, and mastering a language.
I have taught all of the above, both in a course entitled "Word Power" and when teaching vocabulary to those learning English.

Spanish

Proofreading

I have taught composition skills for over 30 years. During this time I have read, highlighted errors within, and given final grades to thousands of students' papers. I have also proofread a large variety of governmental and professional items. Therefore, I am an excellent choice for your proofreading needs.

GED

I tutor GED either in English or Spanish (the test comes in both languages). Please contact me to evaluate your needs.

ACT English

The ACT is what is called a standardized exam (ie: it is administered according to standardized procedures, that assesses a student's aptitude by comparison with a standard).
In addition to administering standardized testing while I taught at the K-12 level, I am also employed to grade standardized tests, and train educators how to write tests in this style.

We have all experienced the frustration and sense of defeat that goes along with this.
