My Name is Jeff B. I am a graduate student here in Greeley Colorado.I have taught General I and II,Organic I and II,And Allied Health chemistry I and II since 1991 at U.T.S.A (University of Texas at San Antonio)in San Antonio. I taught the labs there but since the students had trouble with some of the lecture teachers, I have taught the lecture in the labs as well.I also was the general coordinator of the Allied Health Chemistry department for 2 years at U.T.S.A. In addition to this I taught at St. Philips College for over 2 years in General and Allied Health Chemistry I lecture and lab as well as General II and Organic I lab. As a matter of fact my student from 1991 in Chemistry was a professor at St. Philips College when I taught there. Also the Pharmacist at my Walmart in San Antonio is my student from 8 years ago.
I have tutored Chemistry,Math up to Calculus and Physics both privately and with tutoring companies as well as at St. Philips College now for more than 18 years.I use funny pneumonic aids to help you remember the concepts and also I will apply what you are studying to real life applications that are of special interest to you.For example I do extra credit fun murder mysteries for my students that apply to chemistry. When I worked with upward bound students I did a James Bond theme where we learned to write with invisible ink.Recently I played Spiderman for fifth graders and taught them how to do bonding "my name is Bond!Chemical Bond!"in such a fun molecule as formic acid(Red ant bites) such as was seen in the movie Indiana Jones and the crystal skull.
I also have my masters in Chemistry as well as Theology and have done Bible studies and missions in Mexico for years. Now I am presently studying for my MCAT to become a Medical Doctor in probably about 2 years as the Lord leads.
Presently I am teaching the General II Chemistry labs at UNCO(University of Northern Colorado)and pursuing my doctorate in chemical education so I can write chemistry, physics, math, and possibly anatomy and physiology textbooks from the students perspective by developing a website after my doctorate is complete whereby any students across the world can contact me to give their views of what should go into a textbook!Presently I can do lewis dot structures for fifth graders and I can show easier ways of doing just about any science or math by my +/_ system. For example I had one student at UTSA who was getting a C in Organic who got an A after using my +/_ system.I also have many student references whom you may contact to see what kind of tutor I am! Finally never be afraid to ask me any questions especially why and how something works.I do not know all the answers but I can use the internet to try to answer your questions to the best of my ability. Do not be afraid to ask because the only difference between you and me is I am confused at a higher level.Look forward to working with all of you in the Greeley, Loveland, and Fort Collins Areas.
Thanks,Jeff
Well God Bless,Jeff
