I have enjoyed teaching for many years. I truly enjoy seeing a student progress and witnessing that "light came on" experience.

My most recent experience was teaching Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, problem solving, critical thinking, and logic skills at a high school in Austin TX. I also taught computer programming (Visual Basic and Pascal) at the University of Alaska, Anchorage AK. My first experience as a professional educator was in the US Air Force. As a USAF Master Instructor, I taught students how to operate and maintain very sophisticated computer controlled electronic equipment.

Algebra 1

I have 4 years of experience as a high school math teacher.

Computer Programming

I have over 60 semester hour credits specifically in computer programming. I have programmed in over 10 different languages including FORTRAN, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, and Java. I have taught computer programming at the college level at the University of Alaska.

I have worked with PC type computers since 1983. PC type computers back then did not have a Windows OS or any type of Graphical User Interface. Everything was done from a DOS prompt. I still use DOS today for creating and testing DOS batch (BAT) programs.

I have used Logic for decades as a problem solving tool. I use logic in computer programming to make decisions as to whether the program should do step A vs. step B. Logic can be thought of as a special kind of math (Boolean Algebra) where the operators are "AND", "OR", and "NOT". For example: If it is raining OR the forecast calls for rain, then carry an umbrella.

Microsoft Access

I am expert in using the desktop Database software known as Microsoft Access. I have created dozens of Access applications for solving problems involving massive amounts of data. Access includes a Query Builder tool that is very useful if you are not familiar with SQL. Access is an excellent platform for Rapid Application Development (RAD).

Exceptional tutor Daniel is phenomenal. My son liked him right away. He was able to relate to my son and also show him other ways to relate to math issues. He is excellent in determining strengths and weaknesses and adjusting to accommodate my child's learning curve and guide him in the right direction. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great tutor that Daniel is superb! ...
