I have experience teaching public elementary school, Montessori preschool, and am an early literacy librarian at a Denver-area public library. I hope to find a few students to tutor in the areas of reading and writing. All ages welcome!

I am an native English speaker, and speak Spanish fluently.

Spanish

I tutored undergraduate students at the University of Denver in Spanish for a year while I was finishing my graduate degree in Library Science. I lived in Nicaragua and Costa Rica for over a year and have extensive knowledge of the Spanish language (and how to make learning Spanish fun!).

Elementary (K-6th)

I taught 4th grade for 2 school years in a public school in Phoenix, AZ. My class was a group of English Language Learners with a wide range of abilities. After teaching in Phoenix, I moved here to Colorado where I began teaching in a Montessori classroom with children ages 3-6 years. Autism

During my four years in college and for two years afterwards I worked as a therapist for children with autism. I have experience with a wide range of the autism spectrum and with children/teens ages 3 to 15. I have training in Applied Behavioral Analysis and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
