If you are reading this: thank you for your interest! I am a licensed secondary English/Language Arts teacher with current certification from the Colorado DOE and an undergraduate degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

I am currently a tutor at a local middle school, where I assist students working collaboratively to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My primary goal, when working with these students, is to enable them to ask the correct questions rather than directing them to an answer. By using an inquiry-based approach, I attempt to limit my interference with the student's learning process, making tutoring a much more reflective activity centered around student improvement.

While my goal is always to help students achieve academic success on individual projects and assignments, I also like to bear in mind a larger goal of equipping students with the skills that they will need when a tutor, teacher, instructor, or parent is not able or willing to assist. It is my belief that those moments speak more to my ability as an educator or tutor than even an individual session; if a student becomes independently and confidently able to solve problems and correct mistakes, my job is done, and done well.

I look forward to hearing from you, and thanks again for your interest.
