I have a full time desk job Monday through Thursday which would mean tutoring sessions would be late on those days. I do not work Friday through Sunday.
I was summa cum laude at Bethany University with a BA in Social Science in 2005. I went to China and worked three years as a spoken and written English teacher at Chinese universities (Jiangxi Province, Sichuan Province, and Jiangsu Province). I returned to the States in 2008 and moved to Colorado for my current position as an Administrative Coordinator for a non-profit. During my time teaching I also earned an MA in TESOL through Azusa Pacific University. I completed this program December 2008. I am currently enrolled in a Copy Editing Certificate program through UC San Diego where I am honing my grammar and editing skills to improve my own writing as well as assist others with their written communication.
I am a reserved woman who focuses on the task at hand. I believe education is pivotal to life improvement and increasing job opportunities. I enjoy working one-on-one more than the classroom setting as classroom discipline is a weak point for me. When it comes to a subject I am all about teaching a student how to use tools to expand their skills and knowledge on their own even after they no longer see me. I work best with adults.
I look forward to helping you or your loved ones improve their skills and find confidence in English!
