I am a current Ph.D. student at Colorado State University. My undergraduate degree was awarded from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, and has been consistently ranked in the top 100 private liberal arts colleges in the nation. I received my M.S. degree at CSU, and am currently pursuing research in ultrafast lasers. I have been an instructor teaching algebra based general physics at AIMS community college in Greeley, and have held many tutoring and instruction positions in the past, for a variety of educational backgrounds and learning styles. I have found that there are many ways to present information and that not all students are receptive to a particular method. It is my belief that the best instruction comes from true understanding the fundamentals, rather than simple breadth of exposure. With these two thoughts, I make it my focus to ensure mastery of the topic, be it strictly math, physics, or other topic.
