I have always loved helping others with their learning, from grade school until now. I often found myself helping my peers with their math homework, editing papers for my friends, or explaining difficult concepts so my fellow students could understand them. Teaching, then, was a natural transition for me. I taught for six years before I had my first child. Now I am a stay-at-home mom still wishing to make a difference in students' lives. My favorite part of teaching was seeing that light bulb go off for students, and as a tutor, I get to see that in every interaction with a student!

I am a licensed teacher in the state of Georgia and Colorado. I am qualified to teach all elementary grade subjects, secondary Math and English, and English as a foreign language. Many of my years teaching were spent working with English learners, so making content accessible to all learners is one of my strengths. I also have a knack for building strong foundations in math to make complex ideas easier to understand and for making English grammar and literary analysis fun! To do this, I specifically work to teach students how to grow their academic language, use visuals and hands-on objects when appropriate, and draw from student interests to make learning meaningful.

I am available evenings and weekends and can either meet at my home or at another location. I have a 12-hour cancellation policy, but as a mother, I understand family emergencies.

I look forward to hearing from you and supporting your efforts to become a more successful student!
