My name is Ervan and I am a native of Denver. I am married and I have three children, my oldest son is actually a young man, he is 19 and attending Metro college, my daughter is fifteen, and my second son is my youngest, at 11. My wife and I have them enrolled in a creative arts school in Denver.
Art has always been the center of my universe. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I paint in watercolor, acrylic and oil. I studied art in California at Chico State University, but left school just before I graduated due to financial hardship. I recently went back to school and earned my bachelor's in Global Studies. My other passion is travelling. I have been to many wonderful countries and I have developed an appreciation for the differences in cultures and the varied art in each region.
While at Chico State University I was introduced to art history, architecture, and world art, along with the many hours of studio work. I regularly attend art shows at the local museums, and art districts around our area. I feel it is important to keep in touch with the art community to have a hand on the pulse of creative art.
I have taught art informally at my children's schools in a walk-in capacity as a volunteer, and at our church, which also has a school. My greatest enjoyment is in seeing the faces of youth as they learn to appreciate the art they create.
