My name is Grace and I have my BS in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver. I graduated in the spring of 2012 Summa cum Laude and with collegiate and departmental honors. My Psychology focus was in biological Psychology and I simultaneously completed all of my pre-medical courses for Medical school during my degree. I completed an Honor's Thesis for a research proposal studying the affects of Anoxic Brain Injuries and am currently applying to receive funding to execute my study. I received my Latin honors for my thesis work. I am currently still attending CU Denver as a post-bach student and working as a Psychology Teaching Assistant for Intro to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology and Learning and Behavior courses.
I've tutored a number of High School students in the various sciences and really enjoy working with students to help them master a new material. My motto is that if you don't enjoy a subject, it will be that much harder for you to learn. My goal is to help you as a student understand and enjoy the subject you're having difficulty with. I use a variety of techniques to help students with difficult courses. Depending on the subject, I'll work with you on memory techniques, test taking techniques, analogies to help simplify material and practice problems.
