Hi, my name is Joy. I am originally from China, mainland. I had been living in a city near the Beijing area for 22 years before I came to the United States to get my MS degree in Accounting. After I finished my degree, I had been working as an accountant for a couple of years before I quit my job.
While in China, I had been working with a lot of American teachers and students with their Chinese. I love teaching. I can speak very fluent Mandarin Chinese (my mother language) and also very fluent English. I would love to be teaching Chinese again so that people will get to know not only the language itself but also the culture behind the language. I also don't mind teaching you how to cook some Chinese food if you really like it!
I am very easy going, friendly and I love to talk to people from different cultures and backgrounds. When I went to college in China, I had also been tutoring elementary school students, junior high and high school students with math (one of my strongest subjects) and English. So I have had years of experience in one on one tutoring and made a lot of good friends in this way.
