I am an experienced college instructor with a vast knowledge of human body and its operation, biological systems and science in general. I have a PhD in physiology and a BA in biology, physical education and secondary education. I have taught college level (medical and undergraduate) students for years and would enjoy the opportunity to help you learn how biological systems work.

My philosophy regarding education is to emphasize understanding and minimize memorization. What is memorized can be easily forgotten, what is understood provides the framework for additional learning. Everyone learns in their own way. The objective for the instructor is identify how the student learns and to convert the information into a format that promotes learning. The explanations should be in terms that the student can relate to. This method makes its easier for the student to retain the information and to build on their knowledge.
