I tutored Northwestern University students in economics courses of all levels for several years. I know economics material extremely well and would be able to especially help introductory Econ students, AP Econ students, and college level Econ students.
I have also tutored AB/BC Calculus (and personally received a 5 on the AP exam), reading (for elementary and middle school students), math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, elementary math, and college level calculus/ algebra), science, and writing.
In terms of my tutoring style, I recognize that each student has different expectations for a tutor: some students would like a tutor that walks them through the material and teaches it step by step, while other students look for tutors to answer specific questions. Either way, I ask that the student (and parents) communicate their expectations and provide me with the relevant materials, i.e. syllabus and notes. I like to stay up to date with the student's course schedule, meet at least once a week, and schedule extra sessions to prepare for upcoming exams or big homework assignments. I am also accessible to my students via text or email in case they have questions while studying or finishing homework -- I am always happy to answer questions, any time!
Background: I graduated from Northwestern University with Honors in economics, magna cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa. Currently, I work for a Fortune 500 company as a corporate strategy analyst and enjoy tutoring outside of work. I have tutored students for the past 6 years and truly enjoy seeing my students succeed!
