I am a retired electrical/nuclear engineer searching for ways to help young people succeed in education. My specialties are math at any level and physics. I have tutored before at the high school level, both as a volunteer and for pay. My tutoring method is to try to find a level of understanding and to build from there to the level desired by the student. I stick to the material desired by the student. I will try to show the student the method, but will let the student work out the problems. often, I present additional problems to solve to ensure the student has the grasp of the subject matter.
