I spent the last two years as a learning coordinator for Colorado State Student Athletes. As a learning coordinator, I was tutoring 6-7 student athletes while also teaching them study skills, time management, and ways to succeed in college. I am now an in-home ESL tutor for a Bhutanese Refugee. Additionally, I spent the summer in Nepal tutoring orphans in science.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a biology degree and a minor in biomedical sciences. I have been accepted to four medical schools. I will begin at CU School of Medicine in August.
With the help of WyzAnt, I've been fortunate enough to tutor students weekly in Chemistry, Algebra, and AP Biology. I am a proactive tutor and take the time to study the materials before my sessions, so I am fully prepared to explain the concepts to my students. I'm confident that I help students excel in their courses because I am able to explain hard concepts in a much simpler format than some teachers. Often in difficult courses, one vital piece of information is standing in the way of a student's understanding of the whole concept.
Teaching is a huge passion of mine, and I am certain that I can help students achieve their goals. I make students feel comfortable, however, I challenge them often. I love learning and I want my students to experience that same passion.
