I am a graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Sociology with a focus on Spanish literature. I hold a Master’s Degree from Hamline University in Spanish K-12 Education. Since graduation, I have taught Spanish in the classroom setting for 10 years and English as a second language to adults. I lived abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina during college and have studied Spanish extensively in Spain. I had the opportunity to travel throughout Western Europe during my student teaching in England. During this time, I lived and taught Spanish in Red Hill, England. I am most passionate about Spanish and English Literature. I read and write fiction in Spanish and English. I believe that an education that includes foreign language will push my students to explore other cultures and will lead to future travel. Learning Spanish will open doors for my students in their professional and person lives. In my spare time I hike, practice yoga, downhill and cross country ski, and enjoy spending time at the gym. In addition, I am a theater and arts lover. I attend the theater and art exhibitions often in the Denver and Boulder area.
