Hi, how are you?
My educational background, with one Bachelor Degree in Engineering, a Master Degree in International Politics and one Master Degree in Political Science, has given me a comparatively complete knowledge structure, solid understanding of the whole education system and learning path as a student who always want to pursue higher degrees with both Chinese cultural background and experience living and working in US.
In particular, my training on reading, writing, teaching and analysis prepare me well for both qualitative and quantitative research independently, and teaching students to understand. Besides, I am a native Chinese (Mandarin) speaker with very expressive communication style and fluency in English.
My previous experience working as a teaching assistant for three undergraduate classes in the past two years at Department of Political Science taught me how to communicate with undergraduates, explain class contents to students and coordinate between the professors and class.
And right now, I work for Denver Public Schools to help 8th grade students on their mathematics. I believe my experience both in middle school and college give my great knowledge, confidence and care-giving skills to deliver good lessons and build great relations with students.
I can work as a tutor at every weekend both on Saturdays and Sundays for 5 hours each day, so in total I can work 10 hours per week at the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). In addition, I prefer work during the daytime but I can work in the evenings if the student can come to my house.
