I earned a bachelor's degree in music and vocal performance from the University of Florida (yes, I've met Tebow) and a certificate in publishing from the University of Denver's graduate school. I am currently an editor and love all things language-related.
I have studied voice for the past 13 years, taken five years of piano lessons, and learned all sufficient levels of music theory and history. I am passionate about sharing the love of music with students.
With extensive tutoring, private lessons, and child care experience, I also enjoy using creative and out-of-the-box techniques to teach subjects like reading, writing, English grammar, beginning Italian, and elementary math and science. Elementary students who struggle in math and science tend to think in language and stories. I used to be one of them, until I stumbled upon an outstanding teacher who ignited a love for the formulas and their big-picture implications. I will use my story-telling to its advantage and help your child succeed.
I am warm, compassionate, and extraordinarily talented at connecting with people - especially children. I would love to meet with you to discuss our fit.
