I come from a bilingual background. My family is from the northern coastal city of Barranquilla, Colombia. I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, Europe and backpacking through parts Asia from 2011-2012. I am fluent in Spanish and English, competent in French, with a basic knowledge of Latin, Italian and German. I utilize technology to enhance instruction and improve learning. My coaching experience is at the high, middle and elementary school levels in chess, track, and wrestling. I was a teacher of foreign language in the Elementary Schools Georgia program and have experience with AP and IB training in Spanish. I have attended Foreign Language in the Elementary School (FLES) workshops in Georgia and was a member of the FLES Model Program. I am a current member of TESOL, American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Colorado Foreign Language Association and the Modern Languages Association at the national level.
