NEED HELP WITH MATH OR PHYSICS??

I grew up in Denver, attended East High School, and graduated at the top of my class in 2009. I graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 2013. I absolutely love learning, and want to share my excitement by teaching others.

I am patient, and excel at explaining math and physics concepts. I strive to help students understand not only how to solve problems, but WHY they are solving them the way they are. I have a passion for learning, and it is my goal to motivate students to find that passion. Too often I hear the phrase, "I'm not good at math". I strongly believe that ANYONE can be "good" at math. Through tutoring, I seek to remove the intimidation of math and physics and help students build up confidence and understanding.

Throughout my high school and college careers I was constantly assisting friends, peers, and my younger sister with math and physics homework. I enjoyed helping other students to understand the subject material they were struggling with. Through helping others, my excitement for learning was enhanced, which inspired me to pursue tutoring opportunities.

I now have experience in tutoring algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, calculus, and physics at the high school and university levels, as well as experience in elementary math tutoring. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and strive to adapt to the learning style of each individual student.

I look forward to working with you, or your children!

Differential Equations

In June 2013 I completed a Bachelor of Science in physics from University of California, Santa Barbara. The required math courses for this degree included three quarters of differential equations and linear algebra, all of which I completed with outstanding grades. As a physics student, I solved differential equations on a daily basis (and will continue to do so throughout my career). Understanding differential equations and how to solve them is an important skill set necessary for success in...

Linear Algebra

In June 2013 I completed a Bachelor of Science in physics from University of California, Santa Barbara. The required math courses for this degree included three quarters of differential equations and linear algebra, all of which I completed with high grades. As a physics student, I used linear algebra on a daily basis. When tutoring in linear algebra, I will help students develop a sound understanding of important concepts such as vector spaces, linear transformations, and matrices. I will work...
