Hello potential tutoree,

I have written for several professional publications, worked in three foreign countries and taught English and journalism to various grade levels. While serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania, I became interested in tutoring.

Peace Corps was the most fulfilling and challenging time of my life so far. I lived in a tiny village and taught English and journalism to elementary and middle school children. The students and the things we accomplished together were the highlights of my service. Together we implemented a bilingual student magazine, created a music club and launched a hand-washing campaign that led to the installation of soap-filled dispensers in the school bathrooms. While these achievements may seem small, they were great accomplishments because they made the students realize they were capable of change.

My decision to tutor is due to the fact that I miss helping create change. For me, assisting students in the development of their skills and creativity through innovative tutoring practices is an exciting opportunity.

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
