Hello Everybody,
My Name is Angelique, But I go by Kati.
I was born and raised in Germany so I am fluent in German. English is my second language, but I picked it up very quickly. Schools over in Germany were very different and I ended up taking 16 classes my first semester in 10th grade. Of course, they are not as long as they are here, rather about 45 minutes long, but I gained a lot of knowledge.
Once I came to the United States in 11th grade, I got to pick and choose classes just for fun and to practice my English, because I already had almost enough credits to graduate. (Except for the required courses like U.S. History)
Very many people say that I am a very inelegant person, and they would have never known that I have only been in the United States for about 4 years. I also understand how to tutor or teach different people. Everyone learns differently and I have helped people as young as 6 up to a 15 year old. (Both were in Math) I always try to use examples that appeal to the person to really make them understand the subject.
My major is Psychology and I am minoring in Biology at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. For electives I am taking German classes, because it makes me happy to express myself in my native language, and help others who are struggling. :)
