Hi! My name is Amanda and I received my dual degrees in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Sociology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. I am currently in the process of applying for Master's of Physician Assistant programs and excited to start this next phase of my educational career! Also, I am currently involved in a start-up company where I focus on nutrition and healthy lifestyle living for new and pre-existing clients as well as source out possible partners and implement useful software to take the company to the next level!
I do have experience tutoring, mentoring and teaching. I have tutored for the AVID program at South High School in all subjects and ACT/SAT prep, tutored at Boulder high school in the following subjects: biology, chemistry, spanish and English, tutored for high school students through the Cherry Creek School district in the following subjects: geometry, algebra, pre-trigonometry, pre-algebra, spanish, chemistry, biology, genetics, and english, tutored for the University of Colorado at Boulder for their Academic Support and Assistance program in the following subjects: sociology and spanish and also was an assistant teaching assistant for the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Sociology Department. I believe that there are many different ways of learning and retaining information and I have spent the majority of my educational career seeking out those various methods and implementing them into my own "studying-style" in order to achieve the most efficient and strongest results. I understand how it feels when that "lightbulb" goes off and when everything starts to come together and you truly understand the material and that is my goal as a tutor; to help you achieve that "lightbulb" moment! If you have any questions, I encourage you to contact me. II look forward to working with you!
