Materials may include: pencils, charcoal, pastels, pen and ink. Skills may include: form and mass, still life, gesture, linear perspective, composition, light and shadow.

Painting

I have been in the practice of art practically all my life with a concentration in painting for the past 18 years. I am an accomplished, professional painter. I am proficient in watercolor, acrylic, mixed medium and oil painting. I am excellent knowledge of abstract theory. I have the ability to teach basic and advanced skills in all mediums.

Art Theory

I have a broad knowledge of art theory after more than 25 years of experience in critiques and lectures. For students who would like to explore a richer understanding of art and theory, we may visit works by masters through history, discuss and define movements (realism, cubism, modernism, pop art, expressionism, etc.) and then create a painting with these ideas.
