Hello! I am Jayna B., an elementary school teacher and a Teach for America alum with four years of experience teaching professionally. Helping students reach their potential and closing the achievement gap are goals I approach with passion and fervor. I enjoy working with students - especially when students may need a bit of extra support. I offer tutoring for free to my students at my school, and I am looking to work with students outside my school as well.

I have tutored both privately and for schools. My specialties include Elementary reading, writing, science and math, as well as History, Art History and English (up to university-level). I worked as a Special Education teacher for three years, so I'm very familiar with working in small-groups to achieve individualized goals.

I have taught elementary school for three and a half years. I currently teach 5th grade at a local academy. I taught with Teach for America in Tulsa, Oklahoma for three years. I taught Special Education Pre-K through 6th.

Autism

I taught Special Education in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Teach for America for three years. In that time, I became certified as a S.T.A.R.T. teacher - Specially Trained Autism Resource Teacher - by going through a month-long program of training and teaching during summer school. The following summer I was placed in charge of my own classroom. I taught a class of ten students with moderate to severe autism.

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
