Hello there!
I love teaching and learning. I have been tutoring and teaching students of all ages for almost a decade, starting when I was in High School helping elementary-school students with English and Math, and most recently as a TA teaching introductory Physics to college undergraduates. German, Russian, and English are the other areas about which I'm most passionate.
My undergraduate degree is in Physics and German, with a minor in Mathematics and Advanced-level certification from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages in both German and Russian. Thus, I have extensive experience learning and teaching in subject areas from fractions to Differential Equations, from Newtonian Mechanics to Quantum Theory, and from German 101 to Russian Cultural History! Since I've lived in both Germany and Russia, I'm a valuable resource for students seeking to learn about those languages and cultures. I also worked as a tutor in my university's English Writing program, so if you need help with English proofreading, composition, grammar, or vocabulary, I'd love to help.
I recognize that each student has a different learning style. Over years of experience, I have become quite adept at finding ways to make each of these at-times confusing topics accessible and understandable for both individual learners and groups.
I look forward to possibly working with you!
Amy
