For the last four years, I have been teaching music history, music theory, and ear training at the Community College of Aurora. During this time, I have also instructed individual students in composition. Currently, I also work with ages 5-14 at My Piano Prodigy school and lab, based in Erie, Colorado. I have had the privilege to be able to administer musical instruction to people from the ages of 5 and 6 to people in their early retirement years.
My goal is to keep lessons as simple and as straight-forward as possible. To make even the most uninterested or untrained minds grasp some of the harder concepts of music theory and music history is my specialty! I understand that every student will have a different level of background and core understanding. No matter what, I bring everybody up to speed, no matter their exposure to music history and theory.
