I am an outgoing tutor with a creative energy for the sciences with a graduate education in chemistry. I was a teaching assistant for three years in which I taught the laboratory sections of General Chemistry I/II, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry I/II, and Analytical Chemistry I/II at an ACS accredited university. I also have a strong background in statistics and biology. I have one peer reviewed publication from a study I conducted as part of masters degree program in conjunction with an ongoing USDA-ARS project. I believe that the key to tutoring is not based on pure brute force memorization, but is based on relating the material to concepts the student already understands through creative applications of the material whenever possible. I also understand that different people have different ways of learning that work best for them, and with that said, I feel that if a student understands what methods work best for them then that is the approach they should take in their learning endeavors. As I stated, I am an outgoing tutor with a creative approach to learning and I am very enthusiastic about science and technology.
