ADD stands for Attention Deficit Disorder whereas ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Disorder with a focus on Hyperactivity. My educational background includes taking a foundations of special education class, a survey class of special education disabilities, and other classes discussing assessment and transition of multiple disabilities. My work experience includes my student teaching with students who were diagnosed with ADD/ADHD as well as tutoring students with ADD/ADHD. Additionally, I have substitute taught for close to five years and have worked with multiple studies with similar diagnoses.
CBEST is a teacher's assessment based in California, which stands for California Basic Educator's Skills Test. It is a 100-multiple choice question test: 50 reading comprehension, 50 elementary mathematics, and 2 essay questions (1 persuasive and 1 expository). My educational experience involves personally taking the test and studying the material within an elementary education program. My work experience involves teaching multiple workshops on successful passage of this assessment over a 2 year period.
