Guitar

I have been playing guitar for about 20 years.
I founded and host a local music meet up, which currently has 117 members and has been growing continuously. The group has musicians at all levels and I frequently instruct members during the Meetups. I have taken many guitar lessons from professional artists. I've also taken online classes through Berkley and Edinburgh schools of music. I give lessons currently. Although my specialty is flamenco music, I am able to teach in whatever genre a student requests. I'm a teacher in my day-job and love teaching. Please let me know if you need more specifics.

Study Skills

I have over 10 years of education in the fields of kinesiology, civil engineering, theater and English. I also have four years experience as an ESL instructor. I work as a professor at a local university where I teach workshops on study skills and test preparation.

Writing

Hi,
As an ESL professor I teach both introductory and advanced writing techniques at a local university in Denver. I also teach a TOEFL Writing Strategies workshop, which prepares students for their college entry exam. I bring enthusiasm and experience to classrooms and one-on-one tutoring. My students pass the TOEFL and are successful at college level writing.

Patient, flexible and resourceful. Great tutor! — I had a great class with Thomas regarding the TOEFL speaking subject. Tom was very patient, reviewing each topic carefully and providing instant feedback. He also used several resources in order to cover every step of this subject, always finding an alternative way to make progress on the learning process. I highly recommend Tom as a Tutor. ...
