I was born in Germany and celebrated my 20th birthday in the United States after I accepted a job in a family taking care of their two kids. I stayed with them for two years and then stayed another two years in the States until I went back to Germany to reunite with my family there. But I knew then that I could not stay in Germany and needed to come back to the United States, that was over 40 years ago. I have just recently become a United States citizen and most of my family still lives in Germany with occasional visits and that's the way it is going to be. I have not married the man I love and have no children, instead I have two precious dogs. I speak my native language regularly with friends and family and my love is art as I have a degree from Loretto Heights College. Another interest I have is understanding people and figuring them out and I went as far as getting another degree in the subject matter of psychology from Regis University. I love the English language and am also still learning Spanish, therefore I am inviting anyone who wants to expand their horizon into another culture and language such as German, I will be glad to be a tutor in my native language.

After I learn about the students' level of proficiency in the German language and also get to know them, I will choose activities and reading material for a good fit. I believe learning a language should be tailored to a student's interest and never be boring.
First, the student must listen then, learn to speak and pronounce properly, reading will follow and then learn to write.

Reading

I consider reading the prime tool for my advancement in life; it enabled me to receive a college degree and a University MA degree. I use reading as a tool for my students at WyzAnt to expand their ability to speak, pronounce, think and focus. My students are the proof of my very good results in my teaching methods.

ESL/ESOL

I am from a foreign country, have learned English as a second language and have acquired a college degree and a MA degree. My education qualifies me to teach and tutor English. I have already tutored for many hours German through WyzAnt and therefore have developed my skills well in tutoring students. I also enjoy the work of helping kids improve their language skills.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
