I have been a math/science/language tutor for the past ten years. My main focus for the past 6 years has been math and science. I have experience with all levels of algebra, geometry, & statistics. I can also help with first year calculus.
I have the most experience with chemistry. I have done some work with SAT and ACT prep at high schools for the past 4 years as well.
I understand that every student has different interests-- I think it is important to try and be creative with tutoring approaches, so that every student can feel comfortable with the material. Most subjects can be described in a way that fits a student's interests, which is so important for information retention. A lot of the students I have worked with these past couple years have started out with Ds or Fs and have finished the year with a B or higher. References available upon request.
