I am an experienced Jr./Sr. High teacher specializing in Social Studies, History, Geography and Religion. I have taught term paper writing and organizational skills for 17 years. I have have been continually employed at the same Jeffco school for that time. I have taught Honors as well as regular sections of a variety course at the College Preparatory level.

I have taught 9th grade students at a very challenging college prep school in Denver for 17 years. A major portion of the curriculum I have been a part of developing and teaching is the area of study skills. In teaching this first year of high school, it has been vital to instruct young students in book note-taking, reading skills, lecture note-taking, etc.

I have taught 9th - 12th grade students with ADD/ADHD for 17 years. I have worked closely with our Special Education advisers through the years to develop 504 Plans, IEP, etc., in order for my students to be successful in a challenging academic environment.

I have taught geography, Indian (South Asian), Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Southeast Asian, Russian, African and Latin American history for 17 years at one of the finest college-prep high schools in Colorado, D'Evelyn High School.
