Hello!

I am a Kansas State University Graduate and aspiring tutor. My education includes a bachelor's degree in Mathematics (minoring in Business) and a master's degree in Economics.

As far as tutoring experience goes, I tutored through Educational Supportive Services and the Department of Athletics at Kansas State University for a total of 4 years. After college, I acquired a position as a Product Developer where I constructed electronic cost analysis tools. Thus, I have some idea of how people actually apply math in the real world. During my time as a Product Developer, I have sporadically tutored high school level math.

In my experience tutoring, I have tutored first-generation, disabled, and low income college students, student athletes, and high schoolers in all levels of math, statistics, and economics.

My tutoring philosophy is to help students reach their full potential by asking them the right questions and showing them examples that lead them to have their own deep understanding of the subject at hand.

I have used Microsoft Access to create complicated manufacturing cost analysis tools and perform a large amount of data analysis. This included importing Excel worksheets, creating all types of queries, modifying the underlying SQL code, creating macros, creating reports, creating forms, and augmenting forms with Visual Basic for Applications code.
