My name is Ahmed. I earned my bachelor's degree with minor in education December, 2012 with a GPA 3.95. I have tutored in many high and middle schools including Bruce Randolph, Skinner Middle School, CEC College and Hill Campus. I also used to tutor math and physic overseas. I do speak Arabic and French. I have my Colorado Secondary Teaching License, 7-12 grade. Currently, I teach developmental math classes at a Community College and College Algebra at a University. I am also getting my Master's Degrees in Statistics, Probability and Optimization.
I am truly passionate about teaching and tutoring mathematics or physics. I believe that to get strong in a challenging subject such as mathematics, a student needs one-on-one tutoring.
I see tutoring as a partnership between a tutor and a student to reach the latter grade expectation. My goal as a tutor is to assist my student to link his/her prior knowledge with the math subject he/she is studying. The better I know my student including his experience with math, his/her strategies to solve problem in mathematics the better the outcome will be. I help the student answer the question "whys" and "hows" each statement is true, instead of just memorizing facts. I tend to explain the rationale behind each formula and clarify the procedure to solve math problems. It takes time, effort, will and a good tutor to be an A student in math.
I hope to help many students perform at or above their grade levels and meet the challenges they face in their educations. I am quite flexible with scheduling days and times for tutoring. I can help in these math subjects: Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry and probability-statistics.
