I'm a life-long learner who combines the critical thinking and diverse approaches of a liberal arts student with the precision and detail of a math and science background. I have a unique ability to adapt lessons on the fly to a variety of learning styles, focusing on whatever is working for each student.
As a high school student, I went through the International Baccalaureate program at Littleton High School (I was in the inaugural class of the program there). Since then, I graduated from the University of Denver with majors in both International Studies and Religious Studies. During my time there, I helped start a business based on enabling colleges and universities to better meet student needs while simultaneously facing their own financial realities. I'm currently pursuing a law degree and tutoring a diverse array of subjects for undergraduates and high school students.
One particular area of interest is taking students for whom math never really "worked" and helping them achieve to the best of their abilities on the state-wide Accuplacer exam and then thriving in the (often intimidating) collegiate math and science environments. However, I am open to almost any opportunity if it matches my skill and knowledge set.
