Although psychology is my main area of expertise, I am a versatile and flexible tutor with diverse skills and experience. Currently I am working on my Masters in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. I have spent the past four years working in 7th and 8th grade classes, so I am most familiar and comfortable with middle school curriculum. However, I am happy to work with older or younger students depending on the specific course. Additionally, I am a certified ESL teacher and I am near fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken. I am also at an intermediate level of written and spoken Portuguese. I am a very capable copy editor and enjoy working on vocabulary, spelling, reading, and writing. I am also very good with geography.
I received very high scores on the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and an above average score on the GRE. I also received high scores on my SAT II tests and top scores on my Advanced Placement exams. Therefore, I am happy to help students prepare for these tests or work on study skills. In my undergraduate studies I took a wide range of courses including Chemistry, Genetics, Spanish literature and linguistic courses, many psychology courses, and several history courses. So, again, I am quite comfortable and qualified to work with students who may be studying topics that are unrelated to psychology, ESL, or middle school curriculum.
