I am an experienced French tutor in Southeast Denver. I received a minor in French from the University of Delaware in 2011. During my time as an undergraduate, I worked for the Academic Enrichment Center at the University of Delaware where I tutored beginning and intermediate French to fellow undergraduates. I found this work thoroughly satisfying, and I felt that I made a true difference in students' academic careers.
In addition to tutoring undergraduates, I have worked in after school programs as a homework tutor. I also worked as a math and general studies tutor for a family when I was a high school student. Through my experiences as a homework helper and tutor, I have learned that I enjoy working with a range of student levels and ages. I am eager to find new opportunities to make a difference in a student's life through sharing my knowledge of French. I am experienced with a variety of teaching strategies that I try out to ensure that my students reach their full potential.
In addition to completing a French minor in college, I studied abroad in Paris for one academic semester where I was fully immersed in the French language and Parisian culture. I stayed with a French family and completed high level academic coursework in which all parties communicated solely in French. My experience abroad sharpened my already-existing French skills, thus I am a confident French speaker, reader, and writer.
