Hello! I am a recent graduate from the University of the Pacific, earning my BA with a double major in Development and Cultural Change from the School of International Studies, and French with a concentration in French studies. I also earned an Economics minor while attending Pacific (that is impossible to say in one breath!). I graduated with Honors and I have experience tutoring students from 5th graders to college students to professionals. While attending university, I tutored math to 5th graders (and older) at an elementary school in Stockton. I worked at Pacific as a SUCCESS Program tutor and as a writing mentor for the library. At Pacific, I tutored college students in Economics, French, and World History. During my sophomore year, I studied abroad in Nantes, France where I perfected my French, and I am happy to say that I worked in Chateau Gontier, France for a semester as an English Language Assistant for three primary schools. I think TIME is a huge factor in learning and tutoring; therefore, I prefer to take one hour (preferably two hour) tutoring sessions where I review previous lessons and continue to build the student's skills. I love interacting with the student (specifically when learning Econ or French) where we use whiteboards in order to visualize the construction of a problem. I am very optimistic and excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge with other students.
