Children and adults do not need to have been diagnosed as dyslexic to avail themselves of Ms. Marcy's services. Customized instruction for each individual is key to reducing the struggles a person may have with reading, spelling, or writing.
Individualized lessons help students capitalize on their strengths to develop learning strategies that fit their own personal learning situations. Personalized, interactive and experiential, non-judgmental instruction in your own home allows students to feel comfortable in familiar surroundings. Other settings, such as libraries, churches, etc. can be accommodated.
Ms. Marcy accepts students (children and adults) of all ability levels and ages who have the desire to increase their learning. Both acceleration and remediation instruction, using a variety of methods, manipulatives, strategies, and resources are available.
Please note: Effective remedial instruction requires a minimum of 2 tutoring sessions per week. Intensives are defined as 3 or sessions per week.
